Meet the team

Thirteen specialists. Hire the ones you need.

Thirteen AI agents, one per role, in six departments. Hire one agent, a department, or the whole team. Here is what each one does, how the departments fit together, and which roles different requests call on.

The departments

How the organization is laid out.

Hire any one role, a whole department, or all thirteen. In an advice engagement Helm plans the work; for a product, distribution or operations request, the roles you staff work directly to your team. The two reviewers answer to your compliance team.

Research

3 roles

Data, funds and companies.

  • BeaconFetches Morningstar data, X-Ray and macro inputs, and records where every number came from.
  • HarborJudges a fund on holdings, fees and performance, and finds the alternatives.
  • AlphaReads a single company the way an analyst does, then shows its work.

Portfolio and solutions

2 roles

Diagnosis, options and recommendations, for a household or a product.

  • CompassDiagnoses the mix, concentration and risk, and stress tests the portfolio.
  • MeridianProjects each option in dollars and recommends one, for a household or for a product.

Advice

2 roles

Client engagements, from the record to the decision.

  • HelmThe one agent that decides what work the client’s question needs.
  • OriginOwns the one sourced, versioned record of each client household.

Communications and distribution

3 roles

Writes, tells and packages the approved answer.

  • DraftWrites proposals, emails, replies and memos from the specialists’ files, every figure traced.
  • LookoutTurns the approved answer into a short interactive story an advisor or wholesaler can walk through.
  • ManifestRenders the PDF and builds the Client Room bundle.

Compliance review

2 roles

Marketing Rule and 2210 review on every document, fiduciary evidence on demand.

  • SentinelReviews client communications against FINRA 2210 and the SEC Marketing Rule.
  • FathomChecks each recommendation against the standard of care that applies to it.

Operations

1 role

Reconciliation and the back office.

  • ReconReconciles the book across portfolio accounting platforms, and explains every difference.

Who staffs what

Different requests, different teams.

Each request staffs only the specialists it needs. An advice question goes through Helm; a product or operations request goes straight to the roles that do the work.

Is the divorce split fair, and can I keep the house?

Helm, then Origin, Compass, Meridian

Should we convert our core equity mutual fund to an ETF?

Beacon, Harbor, Meridian, then Draft for the committee memo

Explain our private credit fund to advisors.

Beacon, Harbor, Draft, Sentinel

Is VTI any good?

Beacon, Harbor

Reconcile Orion against Black Diamond for this book.

Recon

Prepare the client proposal.

Helm and the full team, then Draft, Sentinel, Lookout, Manifest

Illustrative routing. Each run is planned from the actual request.

Chief Advisory Officer

Helm

The one agent that decides what work the client’s question needs.

Helm’s plan for a demo client: three questions, three decisions, two unknowns (Social Security claim age and beneficiary designations) and three waves of specialists, from Origin and Beacon through Draft, Sentinel and Manifest.
  1. 1Take the client’s question or email and read the record
  2. 2Work out the decision the client actually faces
  3. 3Plan the specialists, the waves and what is missing, ranked by importance
  4. 4Review each wave against acceptance criteria and ask for follow-ups
  5. 5Write one decision package: position, answers, best-interest basis, unknowns and a communication plan

Never calls other agents itself. Conductor runs its assignments.

Scope

What the team does, and what it does not.

On tax: Compass and Meridian model the tax and timing consequences of an option as decision support for the advisor. That is not tax advice, and nothing they produce replaces the client’s own tax counsel. The same boundary applies to best interest: Fathom surfaces the evidence, and the determination stays with the firm.

They do

  • Answer client and product questions
  • Analyze holdings, funds and portfolios
  • Recommend options to the people who decide
  • Write and review client and distribution content

They do not

  • Place trades
  • Execute or route orders
  • Move client assets
  • Send anything without your approval

Extend the team

Make them yours. Or build your own.

This roster is the starting point, not the ceiling. Firms tune these agents to their own models, house views, templates and policies, and build new agents alongside them.

Tune the ones you have

Your model portfolios, your select list, your capital market assumptions, your document standards. Compass and Meridian read the firm’s own policy library, so the answer sounds like your firm.

Build new ones

New roles for workflows we have never seen, on the same platform the rest of them run on. Days, not quarters.

Controls come with them

Anything anyone builds runs under the same approval gates, the same review and the same Proof of Execution, by construction rather than by policy memo.

The thing that frightens compliance about AI is sprawl. Here, anything anyone builds is born inside the controls.

Watch the team you would hire at work.

From the request to the finished answer, with you approving every step.
